Mosaic small groups exist to enhance relationships with Christ and one another.
That means we see our small groups as a place for deepening Christ centered relationships. We believe that small groups create one of the best venues for allowing people to get to know each other, share with each other, and grow in relationship with each other as we pursue Christ together.
What is a Mosaic small group?
Our groups are made up of about 8-16 people that meet together in a home through the week for study, discussion, sharing life, praying with and encouraging one another as we pursue Christ together.
When and where do small groups meet?
Our groups meet on various nights of the week in homes around the area. Most groups meet in the 7-9pm timeframe but it varies from group to group.
How long do small groups meet together?
Our groups meet 10 times in a quarter for the fall, winter, and spring quarters. After a quarter ends participants can choose to stay together for another quarter or participate in a different group.
Fall quarter meets the week of September 24th through the week of December 3rd.
Winter quarter meets the week of January 7th through the week of March 11th.
Spring quarter meets the week of April 8th through the week of June 10th.
We take the summer quarter off.
How do I choose a small group?
Leading up to the beginning of each quarter we will have sign ups available on Sunday mornings. We will share who the group leaders for the quarter are, when and where they will meet, and what the topics of study/discussion will be. We encourage you to sign up for a group that you know someone in and that will be studying/discussing a topic that interests you. We believe working your schedule around meeting with the right small group will prove to be well worth it!
What kind of commitment is expected?
We ask that you commit to being there for each of the 10 weeks the group meets together (we obviously understand sickness and occasional conflicts but ask that you make the group a priority for the 10 weeks) and that you come prepared each week by completing any ‘assigned’ reading or questions ahead of time.
Can I join or change small groups at any time?
No. Once a quarter is ‘in session’ our small groups are closed to new participants. Small groups can be joined at the beginning of each new quarter. Occasionally a new group for new people may start mid-quarter and meet for 4-6 weeks.
What about childcare?
Most of our groups do not provide childcare. We encourage families to arrange childcare on their own or possibly share a sitter with another family or two in their group. We are happy to try to help provide contacts for potential childcare.
